Summary: The Competition between Nation States: Basic Considerations

Translation of a paper prepared by Hans-Werner Sinn from the University of Muni eh. This presentation was given at the seminar held by EBRD and the IMF Institute in London, January 1992. The author deals with main problems of systems competition which is likely to occur by opening frontiers among European countries. He also concludes some lessons for economies in transition.
